Even through the hustle and bustle of the season, we had a beautiful Christmas. Since Christmas day landed on the Lord's Day, we had our family event on Christmas Eve and then drove out to Clear Lake to see my grandparents. On Sunday, we had a service which included a series of Carols and Lessons. We covered the prophecies concerning Christ, the advent and then His birth. After service, we celebrated all day with some friends from church. 'Twas a pleasant day altogether.
We didn't do much for New Year's Eve this year. We had a nice dinner and then watched some humorous evangelical short films until midnight. After the big display of fireworks began, I played the party pooper and went to bed. :) Something very abnormal for me to do. Yesterday after service we had a Psalm Sing and we practiced three Psalms. The alto section was much larger than the soprano, and the poor tenor section consisted only of three tenors. :) But all in all, even with some people missing, the singing was beautiful. Two of the families know the Psalms fairly well, (one much more so than the other, but...) and the rest of the families are getting them down nicely.
