Earthquakes...

"At the Earth's surface, earthquakes manifest themselves by a shaking and sometimes displacement of the ground."

Earthquake: a disturbance that is extremely disruptive

Anybody else experience this?

Spring

So, it looks like Spring is really here to stay this time...at least, we think so. :) We've had some beautiful weather over the past few days, and I've been too scared to check the weather forecast for the rest of the week... :) Early this afternoon, Melissa went out to start the pre-gardening process. After I finished doing whatever I was doing inside, I went out to help, er, help record this event, anyway...:) Here are some pictures, art-sy ones and some not-so-art-sy ones for your enjoyment...

One of the first Tulips of the year.

I saw these Tulip leaves sticking out and thought, I've seen this somewhere before...

...and sure enough, in my files from last Spring was another picture just like it! Except this one was taken in March of last year...I knew Spring was late this time around...

Look! It's a green bud!!!

Emma just got a new pink hand shovel so she was pretty excited about helping out...

...and then she realized that it wasn't as easy as she thought. But she refused to give in...

And she was successful!

Emma's new treasure...another rock just aching to get stuck in the vacuum cleaner. :)

"To dump on you, or not to dump on you...that is the question..."

Cute hat, eh? Our friends who are missionaries in the Philippines sent some gifts over to us and this hat was one of them. Doesn't Melissa look adorable?

New flowers.

An art-sy picture. More art-sty ones here.

I couldn't decide which one I like better...

...so I posted them both!

Another art-sy photo.

Bark.

And since William was napping and I didn't get a picture of him, this time I leave you with Emma...who is thinking happy thoughts, I'm sure. :)

Spring Fun

Last week Jessica and I took William and Emma over to the Evans' house to see their new baby chicks. We weren't able to stay very long, but they enjoyed the mini petting zoo and I had fun taking pictures, that is, until the camera died. :( The Riggenbach's came over to spend the weekend with us while my parents attended a conference...we're not too fond of staying home alone... :) Jared came over and we treated him to a mini tea party/luncheon on the deck, and to top it all off, a dear old friend of mine came up for a visit. So, I'll try not to bore you with too many photos...

William's not too sure about this... :)

Emma wasn't quite sure how to hold the chicks.

Aren't they cute?

Really, aren't they so cute?

There, now she's got it.

Jedidiah E. and Hannah C.

They were so cute it almost made me want to get some chicks...almost. ;-)
