random musings...

It's been a whirlwind of a week around our place...fabric shopping, cleaning, packing and traveling. Coming down to Tennessee reminds me of summers in Houston...hot, sticky, muggy... But looking on the bright side, the scenery is beautiful and the fellowship is great...what more could one ask for? And so, since the camera usage hasn't been very much, here are a few photos from our week.

Fabric shopping with three of my dear friends, Jessica, Melinda and Lily.

My Mother and I.

Mrs. Riggenbach...er, the back of Mrs. Riggenbach.

Here we are displaying our lovely purchases.

There's no better way to travel than with homemade hummus, cilantro dip and roasted red bell pepper dip...

Dad, Grace and Caleb checking out the farm. Grace and William caught a few ticks yesterday...or did the ticks catch them... So now we're all terrified of the long grass and continuously checking each other for ticks. :)

And as is my custom, here is a picture of the Little Man who is wondering when he gets to sleep in his car seat.

  1. SO . . . is that fabric for a wedding!?? Or for another project? : )

Excited and praying for you during this time,

  2. Looks like a lovely time!

I've never commented here before, but your cilantro dip has intrigued me. Is there any chance you'd share the recipe?? Or is it top-secret??

    Happy Sewing,
    Andrea

Is this for a certain persons wedding dress or maybe their home? Would be interesting to find out.

We had such a wonderful time visiting with y'all! But y'all couldn't have come at a worse time for ticks! We were all in agreement that we had never seen the ticks as bad as they were this past weekend! Sorry 'bout that.

So, can I reiterate the question most everyone else is asking??? C'mon, please give us more wedding details. There are those of us who sit and watch blogs just longing for more tidbits, especially those who don't live in Illinois. Please, please, please, please! :)

  8. Rebecca, Elizabeth and Laura,

Yes, the fabric is for the bridesmaids gowns. :) They didn't have the fabric that I was looking for, so it looks like I'll have to purchase it online. :) But, four of the bridesmaids now have fabric, to more to go...

    Laura,

I'll try to keep y'all posted on wedding details. We've been so busy with so many different things that we really haven't started. :)

We had a wonderful time visiting y'all and are looking forward to many more visits in the future! But, I do think that y'all need to come up now to practice music. :)

    Anonymous,

March 7th is the date. :)

  9. Andrea,

You are on the S&S board, aren't you? If I find you there, I'll send the recipe over to you.
