Since we had a good bit of snow, we thought a sledding excursion was in order. We called some good friends over and made our way to David's hill. A good time was had by one and all, no one expierenced serious injuries and wonderful memories were made. I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into our lovely-sun-shinny day!
Miss Gretel and our lil' Em.

Two fair maidens in the valley.

Abby takes the motor-sled down.

Mel and the Little Man take a jot down the hill.

Caleb was built for speed...no stopping him!

Emma likes to ride with other people.

Old sled, young spirit, happy day.

Three fair maidens enjoying the snow spray!

Looks like these two had their share of snow spay too!

Mel marking her spot on the hill.

William thought the motor-sled looked like fun too...only we didn't let him down the hill on it. :)

Caleb and Ben had a race...

...they made it to the bottom alright...notice I didn't say they were all right. :)

Caleb is beginning to look like a snowman...

"Y'all come back now, ya' hear?"

  4. Twelve hours ago I was 2600 miles from where I am now! What a really strange thought!

Thanks for the good times, it was great fun to see everyone.

I think I figured out where most of the dishes go...

We just got some more snow last night and our neighbor has a pretty big hill that we love to sled down, so I should have some pictures tonight :)

Hope y'all enjoy the rest of your snow :)
    Love you!

  6. Jessica and Elise,

We had a wonderful time! Glad you enjoyed the pictures.

    Christa,

lol....we forgot to tell you, didn't we?!?! Sorry. :) She cut off 12 inches of her hair to send to Locks of Love...it definitely makes her look older! I'll have to get you some pictures of before and after. :)

Speaking of pictures...I want to see photos of your new place!!! AND the baby AND of y'all!! Come now, that's not too much to ask for, is it? ;)

We wish y'all could've gone sledding when y'all were here, but snow doesn't make for great sledding excursions. :) You could fly up today before the snow melts tomorrow.... ;) We'll pray for some sledding snow come Christmas! :) Love ya!

    Ben,

Yes, such a transition is strange...freezing cold to nice and warm...er, warmer...I don't know that I'd call 68 warm...but it sounds lovely right now!

We're glad you had a good time! It was a busy and yet delightful week. :) We're looking forward to May when we'll get to visit with all y'all.

Hmmm...if you've figured out where the dishes go, we just might have to move them around! lol...nice touch on the Rooster cups, BTW...Mel found it to be most humorous...we haven't turned them around yet. :)

    Jacqueline,

The big hills are always the best! Our friend's hill has a few turns and low hanging trees one must avoid, but that's what makes it buckets of fun! :) Can't wait to see the pictures!!

It's supposed to warm up tomorrow (yeah!!!) but the high for today is 16, and I have places to go today!!! :( I am very thankful for heated seats in our car... :)

    Love ya!

What fun! I love to sled! Have you guys every tried snow tubes? I really like using them because they are a little easier on my body than other kinds. *wink* Looks like you all had a fun day!

  12. Tiffany,

Looks like ya'll had a great time sledding. William is absolutely adorable in that last shot with those rosy cheeks.

I'd love to see one more snowfall, just for sledding you understand, and then I'm ready for spring.

Alas, I may have to wait a while - what was it the groundhog said this year? :)

    Blessings, Mrs.H

  13. Faith,

lol...I suppose they would make for a more comfortable ride! :) We don't have snow tubes (I actually didn't know they made such things!) but we just might look out for those next year... :)

    Darby,

For some reason I thought y'all got more snow than we did... Hope you had fun! Yes, Mel's hair is rather cute. I think this is the first time my hair has ever been longer than hers! :) Love ya!

    Jen,

We were very thankful to have had the opportunity to go sledding, but we are even more thankful for the warmer weather we've had over the past few days! We just can't wait for Spring!! :)

    Joy,

*smiles* It was loads of fun, definitely a day we'll remember. Melissa did get her hair cut, twelve inches actually. She's donating it to Locks of Love. Nice to hear from you!

    Chloe,

We had a lovely time! Thanks for the award, you're too sweet!

    Mrs. H.,

We had a good time and were more than happy to share our snow with Ben...it's just too bad he wasn't able to take some back to you! :)

William is a ham...but he's just so much fun to get pictures of! We're all ready for Spring and have already started pulling out our garden plans for this year. Now if we only knew it was going to stay this nice...
