As promised, here is part two of our Jubilee Church Picnic. Some more games took place, a boffer war and tournament went on and my personal favorite activity was the baseball game, so be prepared to see lots of photos from that! :)

The boffer wars began after lunch.

I think Issac won this battle.

Mr. Erber is up!

Caleb and sweet Geneva decide baseball games aren't complete without music.

Mr. Candler scores with a home run! Check out how excited Aaron and Jeremy are behind that fence...I think Jeremy's off the ground!

Aaron is up to bat.

Ethan Webb on the Harvard team.

The Harvard Cheerleaders taught us how to stomp.

Viewing the game differently.

And he's off!

"Bring it on..."

That teammate on third base is still there...(see him in the picture above?)

Do you think Mr. Sanford can bring him home?

*the crowd goes wild* Aaron finally came home!!!

See, I told you the crowd went wild...
Here are the Providence cheerleaders! They had a song or chant for each teammate and even cheered them on when they didn't make it. I think we need to get some Pom-poms next time.

The two teams.

The men chatting in the shade.

The closing prayer.

It was a long day for William. His was attacked by allergies all day and was ready to go home.
Thanks for coming out, y'all!! We can't wait to do it again!

  2. HEY! I wanted the first comment! Ok, how about the "first comment by a person under the age of 30"?

More sports! What are we going to do with y'all? I guess this means writing another report, and a different era reporter's outfit? How does one "stomp" according to Harvard?

Geneva is pouting in her photo, were we losing at that point?

I like the picture in the glasses. Actually, that is the only photo you are in!

Oh yes, pom-poms, definitely need some pom-poms.

    So, who won?

  3. I saw you in the glasses, too!!!

Looks like it was grand fun. Sorry Little Man had a hard day - but he's still so cute.

I agree, Pom-Poms next time. It was fun to pick out all the people we know!

    Have a blessed Lord's Day.

    Love & Blessings, Mrs.H

  5. Mr. H.,

lol, you did get the first comment!!! Unfortunately, I didn't fare so well on y'alls blog. But, as usual, I had lots to say! :)

    Ben,

*laughs* That works, too! At least you commented!

Hey, baseball is fun, especially when you know the people playing. But you are more than welcome to sit out and write reports...how about a 19teens-20's suit? Like Wooster wears? When you "stomp" all you do is pick up your feet and stomp together which make a really loud noise. We'll have to show you.

That was probably when her brother lost a point for us...

*laughs* Yes, that is the only one I'm in, but I sent you another one.

Oh, I forgot to say who won? Harvard did by one point...our guys started showing off towards the end... :)

    M'dear Mrs. H.,

You saw me too!!! I saw you at the bazaar! :)

The little man is such a darling...I love that guy so much.

Okay, you and Ben agree that we must have Pom-Poms, so we'll have to work on getting some! Love you!

    Jen,

It is a wonderful thing, is it not?
