Since I'm sure you are all dying to see more photos, you can view the new ones of my little nephew by clicking here.

And to see what I did with the van about an hour and a half after my dad left to take my mom to the airport, look below...

  9. The first picture is really cool. It reminds me of the picture of the Marines raising the flag on Iwo Jima in WWII.

May the Lord bless the courtship. I am praying for you.

The pictures are soooooooo precious. Especially the vertical where Daniel and Christa's heads are together over little Joshua. The love in Daniel's face...there are no words fit to describe it. (Taken with your camera?)

Very interesting news. I will be praying for God's will in your life.

As for the photos, I second Jared's view that it is highly reminiscent of the Iwo Jima flag raising, quite lovely. I can see you, and I am pretty sure the other is Melissa, would that be Abigail kneeling?

Though I loath to admit my slowness, it is still unclear to me what the pictures relate to the van. My only thought is that the van has been dramatically buried by a horrible avalanche (started by you, hence the "I"), and that you and your sisters are frantically trying to dig it out with the only available means, a flagpole. This may be correct, but then again, it may not...

  12. Jessica, Joy and Melissa,

Thanks! You are all so sweet and I'm so grateful to have such wonderful friends!

    Emil,

How dare you think that?!?!?! lol After I read your comment, I looked at the picture, and I have to agree, it DOES look that way! :) lol But no, we weren't burning it, just trying to wipe out the pole...

Ryekn Clan, Mrs. P., and Elissa,

Thanks for your prayers. They mean so much to me! I love you all!

    Becca,

lol...I know, what a crazy week, eh? ;-) But is has been one of the most wonderful ones in my life. Melissa had been bursting to tell you all week, but we made her wait until Sunday! :) I'm sooo looking forward to meeting you in May! I've heard so much about you and have enjoyed getting to know Goose through his comments! Let him know he can send me a list of foods he'd like to try while y'all are here! We still have pesto in the freezer! ;-)

    Jared,

Haha...so 'twould appear that we did a pretty good job making our own version! :)

And yes, may God bless our courtship and always be at the center of it. I'm praying for you too.

    Ben,

When I first started reading your comment, I thought you were referring to the flag pole pics! lol But yes, the pictures are priceless! I'm not sure which camera they used...but I wouldn't be surprised if they used our Canon.

lol...I love that picture...the real one, I mean the one on my blog is great too...but, anyhoo Yes, that's Melissa, and yes, you're right again! Abigail is the one kneeling...aren't we mean, to make the poor thing kneel in the snow! :) But hey, Melissa forgot her jacket, and I was wearing a thin sweater and shoes with holes in them! lol If you look closely, I'm trying not to stand in the melted stuff at my feet. :)

As for the van, well, you see, we had fresh snow the night before and I had to run and pay a bill and bring the trash cans home. We have a small incline in our driveway, and I tried several times to get the van up the slope and onto the road. Every time we were almost there, the van would hit a patch of ice and we wouldn't go anywhere, the tires would spin and tear up the driveway! So, Melissa and Caleb tried shoveling the snow out from under the tires, and then pushing, or attempting to, our big white rig...all to no avail. So, I told them that I couldn't get it out, and I decided to put the van back where it belonged before I got it stuck partially on the road to be hit by other oncoming traffic...yeah, so anyway, I saw Caleb's shovel in the driveway, and while trying not to run over that, I didn't see the flag pole in my rear view mirror, but then again, neither Melissa nor Caleb told me that I was close to it, and suddenly, I heard a thud, saw Melissa's eyes become as round as saucers and her hands cover her mouth, trying to keep a shout from emerging, I'm sure. Then to my horror, I saw a very bent over flag pole in my mirror. I got out, after putting the van in park, of course, and took a look at the damage I inflicted on the poor innocent piece of metal in our drive. We kind of bent it back in shape, but the wind kept on blowing it over. I put the van back, went over to our neighbors house, yes still wearing the shoes that have holes in them, told them I couldn't get the van out and also told them about the flag pole. Our neighbor came right over and pulled the van out on his first try...I just stood there amazed at his talent. The next morning, he came back over and fixed our flagpole, so it now stands proud and erect once more, this time bearing the "Don't Tread On Me" flag. lol...I didn't mean for that to become such a long story! :)

    Brooke,

Thanks! Now, does this give you a reason to come visit?!?!? :) Love you!

  24. What a blessing for you, Tiffany! Congratulations!

It's funny; seems almost like Anne of Avonlea, when, cathing her off guard, her friend gets married off. Time surely does fly!
