The Simple Scents of Life

Today our little Emma turns five.  It seems like it was yesterday when she was born, and now she is learning to read, write and sew.  Being a Roy Rogers fan, Emma can't wait until Dad agrees to build a barn(somewhere on our property...) for her horse, that she's hoping to get someday...I wonder if a tire swing horse will suffice...  Yesterday she wanted to know what her new chores were, hoping they still included folding towels, and then informed me, as her eyes grew large, "I don't need to take naps anymore..."  I looked at her and just smiled, so she continued in a matter-of-fact voice, "I'm turnin' five tomorrow..."
