Large families usually have large parties. When Hannah turned six, she had one of those parties. With three other families over, we celebrated Hannah's birthday with games, swinging, grilling, feasting, and just good having a good time. Having been here in Illinois for almost three years now, Hannah and Emma have had time to really become best friends. I think the pictures below prove that! Enjoy!

The happy, hilarious, energetic birthday girl!

Good friends hanging out in a tree.

The dads talking 'round the grill.

Melissa and William in the sunlight.

This picture was taken in September 2006, back when we first arrived in Illinois. We enjoyed our first visit to the Candler home and we've enjoyed all the visits since!

This is a new picture of the two on the well loved swing.

The little man tries to get on. As I said before, this swing has been well loved. :)

Those of you who know these two can tell that this is not a recent picture. Like the one above, this was taken from Memory Lane. Back in 2006, Em was a quiet little doll. Silly Hannah has always been a personable cutie!

Here are the two friends today...or on Friday, anyway!

Uh-huh...that is how we usually see them!

An Em on the swing.

Playing Hide and Go Seek.

Abby swingin'.

What are all these people doing around the computer?

They're talking to Garr (our Marine friend/brother who has been deployed)!

A happy mother.

A happy Em. She misses her "big brother."

A chat with Pastor.

Do you see William's face in the little box in the left hand corner? He jumped around trying to figure out how to stay in that box!

Hannah and her birthday cheesecake.
Happy Birthday, Hannah! May you have many more!

  3. Tiffany,

What precious pictures. My favorite was the one with everyone up in the tree - too fun, very artsy.

Em looked too quiet in the pic from 3 years ago - glad to see the real girl coming out.

My sister loves to swing, too, just like Mel.

    Wonderful shots, wonderful time.

    Love & Blessings, Mrs.H

  4. Mr. H.,

Happy children with such delightful expressions are fun to photograph! It was a very enjoyable afternoon...a few people missing to make it complete... :) Miss y'all.

    Jen,

She had a very happy birthday, indeed! Complete with a call from a friend overseas...what could be better? lol, Hannah actually requested cheesecake with blueberries on top! It was an honor to make a cake for the special girl.

    Mrs. H.,

They were having so much fun up there...until the mothers of those girls caught sight of what they were up to... They found other things to climb on after that! :)

Em wasn't always shy, but a big move from everything you knew, to new surroundings, and meeting new people was a bit much for her little self. She's grown so much! I can't believe how big she's getting. :( *sigh* Time passes too quickly...most of the time, anyway! :) Love you!
