Melissa and I decided to pass the lazy afternoon hours away in the canoe with Grace and Emma. We brought a CD player along for *romantic* background music (they always have it in the movies, so why can't we?). ;-) After chasing the ducks, looking for frogs and turtles and almost being pursued by the stupid dog next door, we pulled ashore, tied the boat up, and retired indoors. I also put some pictures of the kids that I took yesterday on my photo blog.

It looks beautiful and peaceful there... but... please consider wearing life jackets-- every one, every time -- you go out on the water. Even if you can swim and you don't think it is deep. Looks like you live in a rural area... not sure how long it would take a rescue squad to come help you, if the unexpected happened.
