I haven't used this website, but years ago took a Myers-Briggs test (looks like this website uses Myers-Brigs as a basis for their categories).
ReplyDeleteI recognized the ENFP as a standard Myers Briggs category. I recognized this mainly because I'm the exact opposite! :) ISTJ
Go to http://www.myersbriggs.org/ and click MBTI Basics for more info.
A quote:
Favorite world: Do you prefer to focus on the outer world or on your own inner world? This is called Extraversion (E) or Introversion (I).
Information: Do you prefer to focus on the basic information you take in or do you prefer to interpret and add meaning? This is called Sensing (S) or Intuition (N).
Decisions: When making decisions, do you prefer to first look at logic and consistency or first look at the people and special circumstances? This is called Thinking (T) or Feeling (F).
Structure: In dealing with the outside world, do you prefer to get things decided or do you prefer to stay open to new information and options? This is called Judging (J) or Perceiving (P).
----
My favorite, the ISTJ:
Quiet, serious, earn success by thoroughness and dependability. Practical, matter-of-fact, realistic, and responsible. Decide logically what should be done and work toward it steadily, regardless of distractions. Take pleasure in making everything orderly and organized – their work, their home, their life. Value traditions and loyalty.
Oh, and I'm also a Cancer. Lol.

Tiffany,

My profile pic...I love (or rather loved) my sunglasses...and when they didn't break after I ran over them with the car I really loved them...and then one of my dear dahlin' sisters dropped a binder on them and now...let's just say they are unwearable now... :(

PS I would have sent you the recipe a LONG time ago, but I don't have your e-mail address ! :o)So if you could send to me here is my "junk" e-mail RuthRoseH@comcast.net (Partly from Lorna Doone partly teasing a friend! :o) )
Tiff,
ReplyDeleteI was an ISFJ... Meaning something of an "assitant" (whatever that means). I mean I'm usually the underdog, the go-to man, the person who "really" gets results...or something like that. Anywho, Christa, said you were really wonder what type I was (she wanted to know too...), and wanted me to comment on your blog. So, consider this my duty. I'll chat with you later.
Daniel B... (Assitant)
Melissa,
ReplyDeleteNow I know why I like you so much...I mean I like because you are you, of course...but Jess (my sister) is an opportunist! Hehe...too funny. I'll send you an email.
Daniel,
Oh good, I'm glad you took it...now I can sleep tonight. ;-) lol That description fits...
Later!
I am ENFJ...Whats that?
ReplyDeletelol...you are the same thing that my Dad and Ashton are! :) Here is the description...
ReplyDeleteFCAL / ENFJ "Educator"
teacher/pastor; socially sophisticated; expressive, ambitious, catalyst, cooperative, devoted, fluent, imaginative, emotional; opinionated; interested in ideas and possibilities; seeks order, language skilled.
So is the rest of your family going to take it? :)
Lenna, lol. yeah, that does kind of sound like you....:D Especially the "language skilled" :D
ReplyDeleteAnd when are the Sanford's going to pay their dues and take it??? :D And Sierra??? And Josiah??? :) LOL.
jessica
Here you go girls. I was a ENTP That hits pretty close to the mark. What do you guys think?
ReplyDeleteFCIR / ENTP "Strategizer"
"precocious planner," imaginative, alert to possibilities; quick thinking; likes complexity; computer proficient; enjoys one-up-manship; enthusiastic, outspoken, artistic, comedic, manipulative, spontaneous, entrepreneurial; logical abstraction skilled.
That test was really fun! Kinda like getting to know your own self better.
Melinda,
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you...spontaneous, comedic, enthusiastic, lol...yes, the shoe fits! :)
I hope they take it soon!
ReplyDeleteI will have Josiah take it right now!
Lenna
I'm the same thing as you, Tiffany. That's kinda weird....
ReplyDeleteGrace
I retook the test because the first one did soooooo not describe me. :-) I think I just rushed through it because we were watching a movie. Anyway so I retook the test(slowly this time) and I turned out to be FCAR/ENFP "Motivaor". It describes me perfectly. Except for the marketer part. LOL
ReplyDeleteHey Tiffany,
ReplyDeleteWhat is with "Theophania NicDhomhnaill? It's kind of cool, but what is it exactly?
Grace, lol, that's funny! Did Emil take it?
ReplyDeleteJosiah,
You mean you wouldn't be a good at marketing? I suppose you might be too honest for that! :)
Theophania is Greek for Tiffany and NicDomhnaill is the Scottish Gaelic version of my last name. McDomhnaill means "son of Donald" and NicDomhnaill means "daughter of Donald" so being a girl...I went with the traditional name. :)
That's pretty cool. How do you find that out? Our last name is Scottish too.
ReplyDeleteI still don't think ENFJ fits me.
ReplyDeleteI think I should take it again.
Josiah,
ReplyDeleteI've always been interested in the meanings of names and the origin of last names. When I searched for y'all's last name, the results I got were:
"This interesting surname is of early medieval English origin, and is an occupational name for a maker or seller of candles. The derivation is from the Middle English 'cha(u)ndeler'"
"A Coat of Arms granted to the family is a silver shield with two black bendlets between five pellets in saltire, the Crest being a black bull's head attired silver. The first recorded spelling of the family name is shown to be that of Matthew le Candeler, which was dated 1274, in the "Hundred Rolls of London", during the reign of King Edward 1, known as "The Hammer of the Scots", 1272-1307.
Josiah is already in the Hebrew with English spelling. The Latin spelling is Yoshiyahu...so you could go by Yoshiyahu le Candeler, meaning,
Thanks Tiffany,
ReplyDeleteI might just do that!
INTJ "Inventor"
ReplyDeleteapplicator of ideas; builder of theoretical systems; self-confident; independent, reserved, single-minded, conceptual; seeks knowledge; not impressed with authority; determined, analytic, stubborn, skeptical, scientific; logical abstraction skilled.
interesting, they were actually able to describe me. LOL
Emil Bandy
Emil,
ReplyDeleteWe are all in agreement...it fits you perfectly, like a glove...as Motel the tailor would say. :)
Josiah,
At your service. :)
BTW, I just realized that part of my last comment was deleted somehow. What I was saying was:
so you could go by Yoshiyahu le Candeler, meaning, 'Yahweh supports the candle maker.'" ;-)
I took it again and this is what i came out to be......
ReplyDeleteFCAR / ENFP "Motivator"
highly energetic; enthusiastic, charming, imaginative, improvisational; sees possibilities; spontaneous; easily bored with repetition; enjoys solving people’s problems; catalyst, marketer, language skilled.
I keep coming out the same as Josiah! =D
ReplyDeleteTiffany,
ReplyDeleteThat's cool, I think I will.
Our family is thinking about doing a candle booth for Reformation day and let people dip their own candles for fun.
Hey Melinda,
Tell your brothers to take this test!
Lenna,
ReplyDeleteIf you keep coming out the same as Josiah, that means your just like me!!!! :)lol
Josiah,
That would be kind of cool. Then you'd really have to use the "le Candeler" spelling of your last name. :)
Melinda,
Yeah! We really want to know what they are!
